SEAToday.com, Jakarta-Raja Salman dari Arab Saudi memberikan 100 ton kurma untuk Indonesia di bulan Ramadan ini. Penyerahan ini diwakilkan oleh Duta Besar Arab Saudi Faisal Abdullah H. Amodi kepada Menteri Agama Yaqut Cholil Qoumas di Gedung Kementerian Agama, Jakarta Pusat, Selasa (19/3).
Amodi menuturkan, pemberian ini merupakan donasi dari Raja Salman dalam rangka menyambut bulan Ramadan.
“Bantuan ini atas instruksi dan arahan Raja Salman. Bantuan kurma dari Arab Saudi ke Indonesia ini seberat 100 ton dan sesuai dengan standar kurma yang telah ditetapkan,” ucap Amodi.
Amodi juga menekankan pemberian ini menunjukkan persahabatan antara Arab Saudi dan Indonesia, yang kedepannya diharapkan semakin kuat. Menteri Agama Yaqut juga mengatakan jika Arab Saudi sudah pernah melakukan hibah yang sama tahun lalu. (GHINA/DKD)
