Karena kemiringan bumi dan posisi matahari, negara yang berada dekat garis khatulistiwa akan memiliki waktu puasa yang lebih pendek dibandingkan dengan negara yang terletak lebih jauh. Tergantung pada waktu jatuhnya bulan Ramadan dalam setahun, waktu berpuasa bahkan bisa lebih dari 20 jam!

- Nuuk, Greenland: 18 jam
- Reykjavik, Islandia: 18 jam
- Helsinki, Finlandia: 17 jam
- Glasgow, Skotlandia: 17 jam
- Ottawa, Kanada: 17 jam
- London, Inggris: 16-17 jam
- Paris, Prancis: 16-17 jam
