The Indonesian Police Traffic Corps Implements Traffic Engineering Scheme Starting April 5

SEAToday.com, Jakarta-Several system policies to anticipate congestion during the homecoming and return flow, the Indonesia Police Traffic Corps are implementing a traffic engineering scheme, starting Friday, April 5. There are three schemes, one-way system, contraflow system, and odd-even system on toll roads.

The one-way system starts from 5 to 7 April at 2.00 until 11.59 p.m. local time, from KM 72 Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road to KM 414 Semarang-Batang Toll Road. The contraflow system starts on 5-11 April at 2 until 11.59 p.m. local time from KM 36 Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to KM 72 Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road. Meanwhile, the odd-even system starts on 5-7 April at 2.00 until 11.59 p.m. local time and 8-9 at 8.00 a.m. until11.59 p.m. local time from KM 0 toll road section in the city of Jakarta to KM 414 Semarang-Batang.

For vehicle users who want to carry out the trans-Java toll road homecoming vehicles from Cisumdawu toll road heading to Cikampek or Jakarta will exit at Cimalaka and Cisumdawu Jaya toll gates.

The peak prediction of the Eid al-Fitr homecoming flow is predicted from 5 until 8 April.

Jasamarga Trans-Jawa tol recorded that as of April 5, as many as 322.892 vehicles left Jakarta in 7 days leading up to Eid al-Fitr and it is expected to increase day by day ahead of Eid al-Fitr. The total volume of vehicles leaving the Jabodetabek area through the main Cikampek toll gate increased by 21.87 percent compared to normal traffic.

Meanwhile, jasa marga predicts the number of vehicles leaving Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi or Jabodetabek in the period 3 to 11 April as many as 1 point 89 million vehicles or an increase of 5 points 94 percent from the Eid al-Fitr 2023 period.
