Religious Ministry Distributes 34,000 Copies of Quran and Yasin to 34 Provinces
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Al Quran Printing Unit (UPQ) of the Religious Affairs Ministry distributed 34,000 copies of the Quran and Yasin to 34 provinces in Indonesia. Each province will receive 500 Quran and 500 Yasin copies and they have been sent from UPQ to each province on March 11.
On Tuesday (3/12), the Ministry’s UPQ Head Jamaluddin M. Marki said "Later, the Provincial Office of the Religious Affairs Ministry will distribute for free to residents in need."
Marki hoped that the Quran and Yasin would be distributed immediately after arriving and advised the recipients to be attentive in storing the holy book.
According to him, the availability of the Quran is very important in increasing resident’s literacy.
