SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi predicted that the peak of Lebaran traffic in 2024 will occur on April 8 with a potential movement of 26.6 million people or about 13.7 percent. Meanwhile, the peak of the Lebaran return traffic in 2024 is expected to occur on April 14 with a potential movement of 41 million people or 21.2 percent.
In addition, the Transportation Ministry also mentioned that the top destinations for homecoming this year are Central Java (61.6 million people), East Java (37.6 million people), and West Java (32.1 million people).
Meanwhile, the modes of transportation that many people choose for homecoming are train (39.32 million), bus (37.51 million), car (35.42 million), and motorcycle (31.12 million).
